Many early customers of KidKnits completed their hats and asked us if we could add a tag to the KidKnits kit - a way for wearers of these hats to make a statement.  

We were so excited when we learned about the Uhunzi team in Nairobi, Kenya.  Adam and his team in Nairobi make our tags out of recycled aluminum, from cans collected throughout the slums of Nairobi.  The aluminum is melted down using recycled engine oil, and then hand finished into the beautiful tag seen at left.  Included in your KidKnits craft kit, sew your tag onto your hat to make the statement, "I choose to make a difference in the world."
